We want you to love your new Modern Fiber product as much as we loved bringing it to you. Understandably, not every product you purchase online is going to be exactly what you expected in person. You may return an item for a refund in accordance with this Return Policy, with the exception of Mukasuns.


A product may only be returned if both of these conditions are met:

a) a return request is submitted within seven (7) days of your receipt of the product; and
b) the product is returned to us within 14 days of your receipt of the product.

Any product arriving after the 14-day return period will not be accepted and returned to sender. For any unmarked or undamaged product we receive within 14 days from your receipt of such product, we will issue you a refund on the price of the product, less the cost of shipping. All sale items, unless otherwise indicated, are sold as-is, and no returns, refunds or exchanges will be issued. Notwithstanding the foregoing, all returns are subject to the discretion of Modern Fiber.

To return a product, follow these steps:

Submit your return request within seven (7) days of receipt of the product via email to orders@modernfiber.com or in writing to:

In your return request, please indicate your shipping method for the return:

Send the product to us at the address above at your expense using any trackable method.

Modern Fiber will send you a UPS packing label, which you will use to return the product to us.

After your request is received and approved, we will issue a return authorization number. Any items returned without an authorization number will not be processed.

Upon Modern Fiber receives back your product within 14 days of your receipt of the product, we will promptly issue a refund in accordance with our policy.


Electronic refunds will be processed after we receive your product. We endeavor to process all returns within one (1) week. Should you have any questions about how to return a product or the status of your return, please email orders@modernfiber.com.

Please note that many of our indigenous products are pre-owned and reveal a natural aging process or other imperfections. We make every attempt to illustrate these characteristics through the product’s image and product description; any omission on our part is wholly unintentional. If you still have second thoughts, we welcome your returns according to the Return of Product process detailed above.

Damaged Goods

In the unlikely event the product arrives damaged or defective due to shipping, please email us within 48 hours at orders@modernfiber.com to begin the refund process at no cost to you.

Late or Missing Refunds

Before contacting Modern Fiber, please follow these steps:

1. Double-check your bank account.
2. Contact your credit card company; it may take some time before the refund posts to your account.
3. Contact your bank, as unforeseen delays may occur prior to a refund being posted.
